Military History
Military History in Chesterfield County, VA
Since the beginning of Chesterfield County in 1749, men and women have responded to the many United States wars. The History Committee has made an endeavor to honor our military persons by an annual event at the Historic 1917 Courthouse on each Veterans Day. Our guest speakers are carefully chosen and the event is entirely for the veterans and their families. However, everyone is welcomed to attend our event. We honor our fallen heroes and their Gold Star Families and we are proud of our Chesterfield active duty military and the sacrifices they are making to protect and serve our Nation.
