January 13,2024 – Historic Trees of Chesterfield: Silent Witnesses to our Past: Learn about the Nunnally oak tree that has been standing for over two centuries at the old courthouse, the Osage orange tree that once stood at Magnolia Grange and other old local trees.
March 30, 2024 – A Garden of Dyes: The Art and Technique of Using Natural Dyes: Join Mike Grant, a dyed-in-the-wood spinner, to learn about the types of dyes that were used to color textiles in the past. Equipment, techniques, and some of the many plant sources of dye, such as indigo and woad, will be discussed.
