Marble Madness 

Learn the fun filled history, games that can be played, and how to make your very own colorful clay marbles to take home during this unique Heritage Craft Class.

 Tapping into Tinsmithing:

Learn the fascinating history and techniques involved with Tinsmithing. During this Heritage Craft Class students will be making their very own tin lantern and tin ornament to take home.

Quills, Hornbooks, and Paper

Learn how to: write using a quill and ink, what a horn book is and make one of your very own, how to marbleize paper, and how make your own paper during this fun packed Heritage Craft Class.

Magnolia Grange House Museum

Historic Magnolia Grange is located at 10020 Iron Bridge Road in Chesterfield, VA. It is a Virginia Historic Landmark and is on the National Register of Historic Places.  The house is a two story, pre-Civil War structure with white painted brick laid in Flemish bond at the front and American bond at the sides and the rear.  The house is a double-piled, central passage plan house, with four interior end chimneys. 

 

The Chesterfield Historical Society of Virginia Headquarters and research library has moved into the old historic Trinity Church . Please contact us:  (804)796-7121.  Hours of Operation:  Monday-Friday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
