The Chesterfield Historical Society of Virginia will host its annual Antiques Evaluation on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the Swim RVA, 5050Ridgedale Pkwy, Chesterfield, VA 23234. (South of CHippenham Parkway near Hening Elementary School)



The cost is $10.00 per one item to $25  for three items.  Professional appraisers also will review detailed photos of items.  For more information, call 804-796-7121   See the 2016 Antiques Poster

 

 Oral evaluations will be provided on a variety of items. Professional evaluators participating in this event include: Turner C. Johnson, Jr. Appraisals; Bill McDonald: Vintage Toys and Diecast; David Packard: geodes, stamps & postcards; John Whiting: Whiting’s Old Paper; John Wood: Militaria; Judy Knauf: The Doll Hospital; Marc Ramsey: Civil War paper items; Morgan Quinn: 20th Century toys; Nick Cooke: Black Swan Books; Robert Draucker: Antique Clock Restorations; Ron Card: Militaria, paper, photos, coins; Brady Fitts: Jewelry & Militaria; Vernon Creekmore: Furniture & Fine Arts and Vicky Nash Shaw: Asian Art, china, crystal, stoneware, pottery & silver.

          

CHSV is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, whose mission is to collect, preserve, interpret and promote Chesterfield County’s unique past for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations. All proceeds of this event will go towards the mission of CHSV.

Our Antique Evalauations

 

We gather our local antique evaluators once a year.  They bring their expertise and will give you an honest verbal evaluation of your prized antique.  This is one of our more popular events and draws a large number of people.  It is fun to know what your antique is worth.  Please join us.


 
 Oral evaluations will be provided on a wide variety of items as well as on detailed photos of items.  Professional evaluators participating in this event include John Whiting of Whiting�s Old Paper (documents, sheet music, postcards, magazines, posters and maps); Bill McDonald of Vintage Toy & Racing Collectibles (toys, models, die-casts, trading cards and sports memorabilia); Robert Draucker of Antique Clock Restoration (clocks and watches); Turner Johnson (decorative and fine arts including furniture, glass, silver and china); Vernon Creekmore (furniture, porcelain, ceramics and textiles); David Packard of Packard�s Stamps & Rocks (stamps, vintage post cards, minerals, geodes and fossils); John Wood (military collectibles from all conflicts, antique firearms, photos and daguerrotypes); Ronald Card (coins and currency, fine jewelry, militaria, historical military documents, photos, firearms and military decorations from the Civil War era thru the Vietnam war including WWII Allied and Axis Powers); Brady Fitts (glass); Virginia Levy (jewelry); and Beverly Binns (decorative arts, pottery, furniture, glass, costume jewelry.)
